Programming books in the wild

It’s always interesting to see programming books out at local book fairs and garage sales. They’re always used copies, so they tend to be about passé programming topics. They’re artifacts of what programmers used to care about. I wonder what the owners of these books do on their computers now.

How about making compilers with silly diagrams?
